The song editing tool I always wished I had
At the end of this month, I'll be at the DanceLife Teacher Conference launching Smart678, my new music editing tool that enables you to quickly and easily make clean, pro-quality song edits yourself, right in your browser.
I've been making music for 'ographers since 2010, and now I'm building the audio tool I always wished I had. Smart678 is the first song editing tool that shows you the song's structure, locks your song to the tempo grid automatically (when possible), snaps every cut-point to the beat, gives you a sponge to clean up lyrics, and enables you to speed a song up or slow it down. Some of our early testers have already gotten great results, fast. Here's a video where I demo how easy it is:
I'd love for you to try it and tell me what you think. It's already live, and a handful of choreographers are testing it before the launch. One of them, Jessica H., told me: "Overall this is way simpler to use than Audacity, and I LOVE the ability to scrub out lyrics but still hear the backbeat."
Update: Smart678 launched at the DanceLife Teacher Conference and is open to everyone. New accounts start with 3 free song edits at smart678.com.
